Jamie's 3 Day PledgePage
Breast cancer affects so many people and there are so many stories to be told of survivors and those who are no longer with us. My Aunt Terri fought for 14 years against the cancer that ultimately took her from her family. I do not say she "lost" the battle and I still think of her as survivor. What an amazing woman. She LIVED while she was here with such a bright spirit and caring heart, and man, she was so much fun!
When I think of her, I will think of that laugh, her always perfect natural nails, always painted a bright cheery color. Riding in the little boat from Tortola to Camano with all our luggage...in the middle of the night, margaritas by the pool in Florida, and seeing her waving and smiling from the top of the airport in Tortola when we landed. She lived in the British Virgin Islands for many years, along with Florida, Virginia, and Michigan. She loved warm weather and water. We had a connection that way. She lived her life like a song. Memories will never fade and that is why I joined the thousands of others last year and am walking again this year to help raise money for this great cause. To share memories and make new ones. We may not be able to see her any more, but she is still with us. Please support me and my team as I take an amazing journey in the fight against breast cancer! The Breast Cancer 3-Day is a 60-mile walk over the course of three days. All net proceeds go to Susan G. Komen for a Cure and the National Philanthropic Trust, funding important breast cancer research, education, screening, and treatment. After a 14 year battle, walking 60 miles for her is the least I can do! We all miss you Terri! Fins up! |
